100% boredom as usual: Last month I had the privilege to exclaim “Summer vacation is over and it was freaking awesome!”. This month I can reveal that the autumn is here and that it has been extremely average. Absolutely nothing exciting has happened in the month that has passed. You can’t win every time.

What’s this «Changing Seasons» blogging challenge?
«The Changing Seasons 2016» is a blogging challenge with two versions: the original (V1) which is purely photographic and the new version (V2) where you can allow yourself to be more artistic and post a painting, a recipe, a digital manipulation, or simply just one photo that you think represents the month. Anyone with a blog can join this challenge and it’ll run throughout 2016. It doesn’t matter if you couldn’t join the first month(s), late-comers are welcomed. These are the rules, but they’re not written in stone – you can always improvise, mix & match to suit your own liking:

You strike me as the kind of person who doesn’t get bored in what I think of the unmotivated, uninspired kind of way … but I suspect it’s more of a restlessness, likely because the time, money, and/or opportunity aren’t there.
I think that restlessness comes out in your selection of photos. There is a ‘seeking-but-not-finding’ quality to your photos this month.

Great post. Sorry it has been boring. I get that. When I first got divorced, I had a time where the quite was horrible (when kids were with their dad). I would sit and drink and cry. I need activity and purpose. I had to force myself to go out and do things, find things and create excitement. It kind of sucked at times, but eventually found people and things to fill that void. Now, I embrace the quiet when I get it. It gives me a chance to blog, edit photos, write and just reflect.
Divorce is some horrible shit… Even worse than winter, even though the winter keeps on coming back again and again. 😀
I hear ya. It’s a tough experience that is for sure. And even if you don’t miss them specifically (since you divorced for reasons most likely), you still miss the good memories or just the idea of having your own person to love and love you back….especially in a cold winter night.

Yeah, I feel you pain. I had some interesting experiences myself. I look back and think…what in the hell was I thinking. But, since we can’t change the past, all we can do is try to learn from our experiences and move on. If not, we just get bitter and I’ve seen those bitter people. Ugh. I have to make up for lost time! I don’t have time for all that bitterness and anger. Bring on the fun and joy and adventure. The past can stay where it is-the the past. Cuz like you said, it was relationshit! And no one needs that in their present or future.
To be honest it was her that thought it was relationshit. If it was up to me we’d grow old together, but you can’t force people to stay (apparently, that’s illegal). 🛂🛃
Yeah, I suppose forced couple status would be hard to accept by the masses. Growing old with someone you love is a wonderful idea. Perhaps this closed door will just be the opening of a new one in the future? I guess only time will tell. Meanwhile, us bloggers will vent together and get by:)

The leaves have not even started to change, so it look exactly the same as it did last month. I’m going to wait a few days and see if something interesting happens. Otherwise, I have a few interesting pictures, but they look exactly like August’s pictures. Withe a couple of minor exceptions. You’ve apparently got at least a hint of color and normally, we’d see a bit here by now too. But not this year. This has been one very strange weather year!

Great shots as always, Max. I love the graffiti and the night shots don’t look blurry to me at all. But then I wear glasses. I understand your boredom- I get that way when the skies here are usually clear blue. I hate shooting when they are. But that just gets me to improvise or experiment with my shooting.
Clear blue skies are lame… I guess what’s annoys me the most about the night photos, is that I know that I can do much better than that. I know the technique, I know exactly what to do, but I didn’t have/didn’t take the time needed. Just some quick snaps while passing by.

You had a lovely summer so coming back to reality with a bump sucks. However, I don’t think your photos do at all. Hope by now you have cheered up a bit, after all it is only downhill until spring arrives (you may detect that I am NOT a winter person – too wet, too grey, days too short), but there is always something to look forward to. I live in hope!

September can often be a boring month, especially after all of the excitement of the summer. You may not like your night shots, but I think they look great. I especially like the one with the bikes on the bridge.
