Inside: a photographic journey through India & Nepal

Here’s some pictures that represents “inside”, plus a bunch that I just throw in for fun. All these photos were shot between December 2004 – December 2005 when I spent 9 months traveling around in India on my Bullet 350 motorcycle. Most of the time was spent in in Delhi & Rishikesh, plus 3 months were I settled in a village in Nepal.

A day at the Delhi Derby

Some years back I ended up living in Delhi for a period of 3-4 months, which means that I’ve pretty much seen & experienced, if not everything, then at least most of what Delhi has to offer – both touristy & non-touristy things. Some of the stuff I’ve seen/done several times: During my stay I met many backpackers and I frequently joined them to check out different places in Delhi, which resulted in me experiencing recurring deja-vu’s… (hmm… haven’t I seen this place before..?)

In a country where religion has major influence on people’s lives, and the idols, in their many and varied forms, determines one’s destiny and happiness, it is not surprising to observe the happiness and strong feelings people show when celebrating these gods through various festivals.
