Last summer I went hiking in different Norwegian mountains. Here are some photos from the Besseggen hike in Jotunheimen, Valdres.

I was hoping you’d share more mountain photos. 🙂 Lovely!!

Thanks Janet. I thought I’d already shared them, but then I realized that I had only posted the four last ones, plus one of the panoramas before.
I don’t even mind that as long as it’s a new post for the challenge and not just linked to an older post. 🙂 I do love seeing the mountains and I haven’t been in Norway since the mid-seventies.
It’s about time you return.
I’d like to, but I’ll be in France instead. I guess I can put up with that, though. 🙂
That’s a wonderful place! I would love to visit one day the Norwegian fjords. I guess it is an experience full of adrenaline!!
This is not a fjord though, but a lake: fresh water up in the mountains. The mountains are cool and the fjords are cool too. There’s a lot of great scenery in Norway.
Gorgeous shots CG! My husband’s ancestors were Norwegian. One of these days, we will visit there.
My anchestors were Norwegian too. 😀 You should definitely visit!
Amazing photos and beautiful landscapes.
Thanks!

Breathtaking…., really!!
Yes, it is. Thanks for the comment.
These pictures are absolutely gorgeous 🙂
Thank you very much.
Wow these photos are amazing! Firstly I would love to visit Norway.. but these mountains, these are great. I can’t believe how prehistoric they look. Breathtaking
Awesome place. Hopefully I’m going back to the same area for some other hikes this summer.
That would be great! Well if you do, enjoy
Norway your way! I love the lake in Jotunheimen. What beautiful country. Thanks for sharing your photos with us.

My pleasure Allan. Thanks for commenting!
You have experienced a much greater altitude in your images from Besseggen hike in Jotunheimen, Valdres. However, the body of water and its curves reminds me of The Columbia River Gorge in Oregon, near Portland. It is somewhat close to the Oregon-Washington State border in USA.
Thank you Cyclering.
There is no way a photo can really capture the texture of such a spectacular landscape … but you’ve done a really great job. I really like the photos like the 4th and 5th in the gallery one that show lakes at different altitudes. What a special trip to have taken!
Thank you Joanne. I agree that a photo can’t really capture everything.
Breathtaking views!
Thanks Colline!
Wow! What stunning photos! What a place to hike!
Amazing place, breathtaking. Thanks for the comment!
Stunning, Max! On top of the world again 🙂 🙂 Hope life’s treating you well.
I can’t complain really. Thank you Jo!
Good collection, you have been a lot of places lately, I was wondering which you would chose for this challenge.
Yes, I’ve been traveling a lot and have plenty of photos and destinations to choose from. It’s been an active winter that’s for sure!
