I was editing photos today, but suddenly I got stuck being creative with this portrait of Jay Sampaguita. Now the day has gone.
I shot the portrait at Linas Tattoo Convention and it was a good portrait to work with: the focus is spot on, the background is easy to cut out and Jay looks great. I hope you like your portrait Jay!

I remember seeing your real painting. This is very nice too.
Thank you very much Paula. This one has a painterly and positive look to it, not the darkness/death/skull manipulations that I usually do.
Yes, and it is a good and welcome change in MHO.
Wow, wonderful portrait. You had good natural material to work with but I really like what you created with it. It is very painterly!

Thanks for the compliment Peta.
Very nice, it’s interesting to see this larger version having already seen the Instagram version.
Instagram is just quick, small screen entertainment. Not really that good for sharing photos at all. The positive side about it is that it’s easily accessible from the phone.
Yes, that’s true. I actually need to look into how I can get some of my photos from Lightroom to Instagram. I keep thinking about it, but not really doing it, so I would say I am not thinking of Instagram as a serious photo platform. Having said that, I do enjoy it though.
Do you have Iphone or Android? Flickr is useful to share on IG if you have iphone/ipad, while google (g+ or just the photo library) is best if you have an android phone.
I have an iPhone. I hadn’t considered routing through Flickr… I should look that up. Thanks 🙂
Oh yes, I love this more-cheerful-than-usual artistic addition. Great flair
Thank you Debbie.
