Paula asked me to write a guest post on the subject of night photography. So, that’s what I did.
Head over to her blog to read the post: https://bopaula.wordpress.com/2016/04/07/guest-photo-challenge-night-photography-by-cardinal-guzman/
Thank you Paula!
Wonderful! Thank you again for your guest contribution Cardinal. I love all the shots included in this post, especially “Night photo: shot around 3 am on a summer night in Ålesund.” Have a good week!
Thanks for asking me to write a guest post. it took me a while, but I managed it at last! 😀 Haha, the king of procrastination!
Actually, you were much ahead of the time I had set for you.
Phenomenal captures, really!
Thanks a lot 76sanfermo76sanfermo.
Quite a variety of beauty night shots, Cardinal. Off to read the post.
janet
Thank you Janet.
Hmmm, I meant “beautiful” shot.
No, you meant “beautiful shots”. 😀
Ha, you’re right. My fingers are flying much too quickly this morning. But you know what I meant and that’s the important thing.
Yes, I did Janet and I don’t care about small typos. I make a lot of typos myself and typically I notice them a few milliseconds after I hit the send/post/publish button.
That’s always when I see them, too, when it’s too late to correct them. 🙂
Fabulous set, Cardinal…I need to up my game!
Thanks Sue. I also need to up my game – I’ve been totally out of the game lately: no inspiration.
I’ve been wanting to try night photography for ages. It’s one of those things on my to-do list that never gets crossed off.
You should give it a try. It’s easy to get good results.
I will make an effort to try it this summer (and I will leave the pyjamas at home).
What?!? WNNPN? (World naked night photography night) 😜
No, silly. I’ll trade in the pyjamas for the type of clothing one wears in public. LOL
That ‘World Naked Gardening Day’ definitely fits in the “shit white people do” category.
Haha. I do none of that stuff! I’ll admit that I’m halfway to vegan, but I have no plans to go all the way. I have no desire to give up eggs and cheese.
You do beautiful night shots. I’m betting you use a tripod, at least some of the time. I should. I even own one. And someday, I’ll even USE it 🙂
Yes, I’ve used a tripod on all of these shots, except for the composite image with the park background. The park was shot handheld.
fabulous post and photos, Viking!! I remember the photo from Ålesund was one of the first I saw on your blog a year ago maybe, and remember thinking “wow, this is such a special photo, he must be a real good photographer”.. 🙂 I still wonder how you got that blue so beautiful 🙂
