Cardinal, I love the feel of stars you caught!
janet
Thanks Janet. We don’t see many stars in the city, so we’ll have to make our own!
We did it again! Similar line of thought, different results. Fascinating! I really like your playing with light.
Thanks TMS. I liked your post too and I think you had a great idea with following a movie.
Have you ever seen the Finnish film ‘Let The Right One In’? The first few photos remind me of that, it’s set in a very eerie apartment block, and this has the same mood.
I haven’t seen it, but I remember I saw a film about some taxi drivers in different cities around the planet. One of them were in Helsinki. I’ll check out “Let The Right One In”, thanks for the tip!
All the buildings around here look the same: I live in a social democratic hell, animal farm style: “We’re all equal, but some are more equal than others”.
Ah, the veil of a democracy that doesn’t actually exist, it’s just communism dressed in a pretty outfit isn’t it? You should definitely check the film out, it’s good, and better than its American remake!
American remakes of European movies seldom lead to anything good.
American remake: “This movie originally had a sad and brutal ending, but now the hero won.”
Or, even worse, Bollywood remake: “This movie originally had a sad and brutal ending, but now it’s a comedy love story where the hero gets the girl in the end. Plus we threw in some idiotic dancing and crappy music.”
Very true indeed, although I can’t say I’ve ever seen a Bollywood remake, I might have to watch one just for the hilarity!
I did not see it at first, but now that you mention it: You are absolutely right, Laura! And I loved the movie too.
Lovely shots, Cardinal!
Thanks man!
Vackert… Så vackert!
Hjertelig takk Supermalin!
Supermalin – det gillar jag. Eller jag liker det. :))
Masterful gallery, Max! Makes me think of “Starry, starry night”… 🙂 You have created interesting&beautiful mood there.
Ooh, I love that song! Vincent.
Thank you!
Love the mood of these photos. Did you use a special filter to turn the lights into stars or did you add them later?
Excellent question! Here’s the answer:

Starry nights… so beautiful and dreamy 🙂 wonderful shots… 🙂
Your light effects are absolutely great, love this gallery!
I haven’t come across that challenge before but as I’m still fighting with black and white architecture for yours it’s most unlikely I’ll get there. Leave it to those who can, I reckon 🙂 🙂 It’s the weekend already- time off for bad behaviour Cardinal?

I hope one day learn to do it.
