B&W Challenge 5-5: Anita & Magda

BW_7712

Anita & Magda

The wonderful Ksenia has challenged me to post black & white photos for the up-coming five days. It took me a few weeks to notice that I’d been challenged, but better late than never!

In return I nominate Patti Kuche @ nylondaze.wordpress.com

In order to take this challenge, you must post B&W photography for the next five days, and each day nominate another photographer to enter the challenge. Good luck!
(Needless to say, but of course you can also choose to not participate or to do it later if it doesn’t fit your current schedule).

  1. Another very good candidate for monochrome challenge 🙂

The wall behind, with peeled off paints and scratches looks like a texture here. In color, it would have been a distraction, I feel 🙂

  2. Brilliant portrait shot of two beautiful ladies. Very sporting of them to pose for you. They look like models, looking very comfortable in your shot. B&W’s very fitting for this shot – as Sreejith said, if it had been in colour, the walls would have been distracting, maybe the tops of the ladies too. Good luck with the challenge, Cardinal. You’ll come out on top 🙂

    • Thank you Mabel. This was the last post in this “5 days B&W Challenge”, but it won’t be the last B&W post in this blog, that’s for sure. Both girls are professional models and they were funny, easy and pleasing to work with.

  3. What beautiful girls. The dark one looks very minxyy 🙂 are you a models photographer or something or how do you just get these girls to pose? Maybe they are relatives lol the mind boggles. either way you captured their beauty and attitudes seamlessly x

      • Those are fabulous, Anita is wowee, like you say smoking hot, she just oozes sex appeal, you can’t buy that in any plastic surgery that’s for sure. I had a favour to ask, I tried to find your contact section to ask you private but couldn’t see an e-mail or anything so throwing it here, would you mind if I used your nude in the Such Fine Music Awaits post for my next Anita Nin post, I will credit back of course, but it fits a quote I wish to use very well 😉 I can show you the quote privately if you wish first, but will need your e-mail.

Also I got nominated for the B&W and being a rule lover, I wanted to clarify, its one B&W post for 5 days consecutively, has to be new pics, one can’t use one’s taken previously? Also with nominating, do we nominate once or every time we post a new person? Just thinking this will get tricky so close to Xmas. If I’ve said anything wrong could you let me know if you know hehe…. thankies in advance xx

        • I’m more than happy to let you use my photo in your post! My email is cardinalguzman at gmail.com, but you don’t have to show me the quote, I prefer to see it in your post. I’ll add my email to the about me page. I’ve been thinking about doing an “about me page make-over” during the holidays.

In the B&W challenge, you can post whatever you want: new photos or old ones from your archive.
For 5 consecutive days. In each post, you nominate another blogger.

If you’re busy, you don’t have to do it now. You can always wait til after the holidays. Do it whenever you want to. It took me 3 weeks just to find out that I’d been challenged!

  4. Hi CG: Quick check that has nothing to do with today’s post! I am about to self-publish a novel – and it includes the pieces I wrote, during the summer, prompted by the wonderful Greek playing cards. I want to mention you as the inspiration behind those pieces – but thought I’d better check with you first. If you would rather I didn’t mention your name, just say – and I will delete that section.

    • Yes, it is and I can see why: there’s a lot of photo bloggers out there, plus there’s plenty of general bloggers that enjoy sharing their photos. The challenge isn’t too demanding either.

For me the most interesting part was not only to see the photos of the ones that I challenged, but also to see who they challenged in their posts. I’ve actually discovered a handful of new blogs thanks to this!

  5. gorgeous and sexy!!
and since ima addicted to peeling old textures too, I enjoyed immensely Graham’s witty comment just above mine lol 😀

  6. They look so good together Cardinal, a great portrait! And thank you so much for the nomination, so sorry it took me so long to replying 😦 Am travelling with old film camera and iPhone with wifi bits and bobs all turned off so not sure when I will get around to it but it has been fun seeing what you come up with!
