The theme for #photo101 today is Moment. We’re only here for a moment, try to enjoy it while it lasts.
Here’s a tune from that a friend and I played in my mom’s funeral (which was not the one on the photo above). I guess the best way to describe the tune is classical guitars.
we are only here for a moment, so very true, Cardinal…
ima sorry about your mom (I can fully relate…)…
it’s a lovely tune, very peaceful…
Thanks for your kind words Alexandra.
What a sad sad photo but what a moment too to capture well done and yes I am very sorry about your mother xx
Thank you eclectic.
a pleasure as always x
What beautiful guitar music. So sorry for your loss x
Thanks Wendy. I’m pleased to hear that you liked my music.
I remember the tune from before and I will listen to the video when I get home. Videos are blocked at the office. A powerful moment you’ve captured.
Thanks. It was in my cousins funeral a few weeks ago.
I forgot to listen to the music in your post yesterday. I’ll try to remember it tonight.
Don’t worry about the music Max. No player has recognised it so far. I am sorry about your cousin 😦
Please forgive me, It is a beautiful and poignant click, but i will not like the pic, because I can relate to the pic. Nothing in this world can make up for loosing a parent. I miss my bestie, my dad.
You have beautifully captured the moment. May her soul live in peace. 🙂
On the lighter side, I got to know your name – Max 😉
Shukrya Andy. There’s no need to like, I prefer comments!
This photo was shot in my cousins funeral recently. I only had my pocket camera with me, so technically the quality of the shot isn’t good enough, but it’s acceptable. Sorry to hear about your dad. I miss my dad too. Sometimes I wish that he would have lived long enough to meet my son.
Shukiya Max. When my Pakhi was born, my dad was the first one to hold her. She is the only grandchild in my family 🙂
About the pic, even with your pocket camera you clicked the moment so well. And here I am still trying to handle a DSLR 😉 😛
What a lovely tune, and photo! So sorry to hear you had to say goodbye to your mom! It’s so true we are here only for a moment… A great post Cardinal!
In the grand scheme of things, we’re only mayflies.
The song reminds me a music box. Very peaceful. Carpe diem
Thank you Montserrat. I’m glad that you liked it (feel free to spread it in your blog if you want to).
Thanks 🙂
Yes, it does seem only to be a moment we are here when we lose those we love. What an absolutely beautiful song. I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. You are so talented. ❤
Thanks. The tune just appeared one morning when I woke up, after having listened to classical music while sleeping (when I was younger I sometimes used to put music on repeat and let it play continuously through the night – brainwashing myself with tones).
They say that is true- we absorb while we are sleeping. Truly beautiful melody
So true. In the grand scale of time our lives are but a moment.
Sorry for your loss.
Yes. Like I said in another comment here: we’re only mayflies.
Poetic and fitting.
Truly a beautiful song, picture and post. May your heart heal and your mom and cousin rest in peace. I’m sorry for your loss. I know the wounds those losses leave. 😦
CG,
Like all the others, I’m so sorry for your loss[es]. The music was quite lovely.
In fact, I *like* your take on this — nothing can be more true. When I’m at the beach and watch the eternal rhythm of the tides … I get a little bit of perspective, both on my own life’s moment here, and the grand scheme of things.
I clicked the like, because I like the title, it’s so true. Thank you for reminding us that we are only here for a moment. I’m sorry your loss… Really enjoyed the beautiful music, very classic, CG.
Well, this certainly strikes home!
Beautiful musical tribute to your mom, CG. I hope my son will play his guitar at my funeral one day.
So touching , both photo and music….
Sorry for your loss , know what it means!
Yep, only a moment. Kind gesture, that music piece. Have a good day, Mr. Guzman.
You words are of course very appropriate and right, but it’s always hard to lose a love. I am very sorry about your loss.
a sad moment!
My condolences, Cardinal.
Reblogged this on A Day In The Life and commented:
Take a listen to the beautiful melody my friend Max plays.. and the reminder that we are here only for a moment…
Like we say in Norwegian: Hjertelig takk (Heartfelt thanks).
Great shot and a beautiful tune, Cardinal!
