This was on the last day of January, just before 15:00. The sun had “returned” the week before after a few months of darkness and it was freezing cold outside, so I think a warm cup of tea would have been an excellent choice.

Wonderful sunset landscape Cardinal.
Super shot, Cardinal. I was half expecting to see a silhouette of a man climbing up that mountain… That grey sky looks fabulous. Don’t get many of those in Australia.
In the winter we get a lot of fantastic sunsets and sunrises because the sun is so low on the horizon.

Silhouettes of mountains & nature are one of my favorite types of shots…you did it well, beautiful!
Gorgeous – like that upward shaft of light – it really elevates the shot.
I can feel the sun just ready to pop over the horizon.
