Weekly Photo Challenge: Nostalgic

A photo of a photo shot through a yellow lamp.

A photo of an old photo, shot through a yellow lamp.

I used to live in the reflected building.

My old neighbourhood.

  1. I don’t usually like the old, faded photos of a time that I am old enough to remember, but I like this one because it is a photo of a photo. Very clever and effective, Cardinal! 🙂

  5. Herlig og nostalgisk!
Liker i tillegg refleksjonene i lokket på grillen!
Denne type grill er på vei tilbake nå…
    Flott slide-show i headingen!
    Ha ei sommerlig helg!

    • The only thing I miss from my old neighbourhood is the proximity to the best vegetable shops in Norway. Except from that there’s not much to miss: numerous rapes, lots of drunk people every weekend, cargo trains passing by the house…
The area where we live now is more calm and kids friendly.

        • My ground floor neighbor woke up one morning with a thief in her living room, twice my attic storage was burgled. One night I woke up and chased away some guy that was trying to break into the building, another time our neighbors from Poland chased a bike thief. That’s daily life in the slums of Oslo: junkies, gypsies and imported criminals.
There’s also a lot of rapes, robberies and pick pocketing.

  7. Tak for dit besøg hos mig (“Far Away”) – Jeg må sige at jeg er imponeret af det første billede med bilen – det ligner som om du tog billedet inde i en skål? – Gode reflekser – 😀
