I don’t usually like the old, faded photos of a time that I am old enough to remember, but I like this one because it is a photo of a photo. Very clever and effective, Cardinal! 🙂
Herlig og nostalgisk!
Liker i tillegg refleksjonene i lokket på grillen!
Denne type grill er på vei tilbake nå…
Flott slide-show i headingen!
Ha ei sommerlig helg!
The only thing I miss from my old neighbourhood is the proximity to the best vegetable shops in Norway. Except from that there’s not much to miss: numerous rapes, lots of drunk people every weekend, cargo trains passing by the house…
The area where we live now is more calm and kids friendly.
My ground floor neighbor woke up one morning with a thief in her living room, twice my attic storage was burgled. One night I woke up and chased away some guy that was trying to break into the building, another time our neighbors from Poland chased a bike thief. That’s daily life in the slums of Oslo: junkies, gypsies and imported criminals.
There’s also a lot of rapes, robberies and pick pocketing.
Tak for dit besøg hos mig (“Far Away”) – Jeg må sige at jeg er imponeret af det første billede med bilen – det ligner som om du tog billedet inde i en skål? – Gode reflekser – 😀

I like how you did your first photo.

These are great, but the first is a classic.
Thank you Richard. I wish I knew the name of the photographer of the original photo. Patti Kuche suggests that it might be Stephen Shore.

Takker så meget Hans. Kulegrillen er god, jeg liker den røkte smaken maten får når man griller på kull. Ønsker deg en fortreffelig sommer.
The first one is pure genius!
What sort of an appliance thingamajig is that in the second picture?
Dhanyavad Kriti. That’s a coal barbeque – perfect for meat, fish, chicken and vegetables.

Love the first photo!
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
Thank you Francine.
Brilliant work on the first shot Cardinal, which reminds me of Stephen Shore. Are you missing your old neighbourhood?

a chained up barbecue…hmmm interesting
You have to chain up everything in that neighbourhood. Things that aren’t chained up gets stolen.
Oh dear…not good at all.

Ja, jeg tok bildet i en lampe som hang ned fra taket – så en slags skål som henger opp ned.
That’s awesome
Thanks Penelope.
