Rainy day, dream away… Rain is also a part of everyday life.
“Some people get wet others feel the rain” – quote from one or two Bobs (people argue whether Bob Dylan or Bob Marley said it first)
Who knows who said it first? Who cares and does it really matter anyway? What do you prefer to do on rainy days? Go out and feel the rain? Or perhaps stay inside to play guitar, read a book or catch up on some blogging?

A goldie rainy shot – rain make me relax, I like it – but not so much that I wish it rains every day… ‘hahaha’ 😉
I don’t mind rain, but it’s always nice with some sunny days too.

WOW! I don’t like it, but I do love it! 😀
You give me such an inspiration as well as shooting the rain is one of my obsessions.
Shooting in the rain can produce some interesting results. unfortunately too many people hide away their cameras when it’s raining.
Thank you so much for the compliment Inge.
Do you have any rainy photos in your blog?
You are very most welcome, Cardinal. 🙂
I haven’t got any pictures of the rain while it was pouring down, only the raindrops on the window. 😀
But I haven’t uploaded it though.
Hey, I like this one!! Where is that “like” button again? 😀 Never mind, I found the stars 😉
😀
Nice photo and video. The rain I love…it makes me want to curl up with a book and read, then sleep. Thank you for sharing 😉
Thanks for watching the video! I believe most people skip that part.
It’s raining here, too, now. Love it.
I remember when I was a kid I used to love to listen to the rain as it hit the roof.
I love the rain, it gives a color to unforgettable sea.
Kiss Cardinal♠
vento
It does. For example this photo wouldn’t be interesting without the rain.
yes mister,
🙂
PS:
I enrolled in an English course for you!
ciao 🙂
I’m deeply flattered. English class! Great! Learning a language is always good.
Scientists claim that learning a new language and/or mathematics, makes sure that you train parts of the brain that are not normally trained: this helps to prevent Alzheimer.
oh my god! 🙂
Thanks for the thought!
I will take care of me!
I like these photography/ music posts you’re doing. The rainy shot is like a film still – v cool.
Thanks Richard and thanks for watching/listening 😀
I enjoyed the pickin’ and the precarious bike ride in Oslo. Glad you missed the lady and the dog! 🙂 I love the tones in the rainswept street shot.
I guess you must have taken a small tour in my blog today 🙂 I appreciate it, thanks for the comment.
NIce one but please not rain everyday!
Everyday would definitely be too much!

Rain makes me sleepy.
I like rain, but this summer we’ve had a bit too much of it.
It hardly rains where I live. I love it when it rains.

I can’t wait for our rainy season to start. We usually only get rain in wiinter. I like to be inside looking out at the rain.
Nice photo you took and I liked the guitar picking!
Glad you liked the guitar picking Angelina. Hope you’ll get a good rainy season!

Interesting approach … enjoyed the video. 😉
Thank you Elizabeth
From my tiny perspective, I prefer to look at your lovely picture rather than go out in it and have a bad hair day. 🙂 From a grand perspective, think how much the farmers in the Mid USA pray for rain..all in your perspective me thinks
Yes, the farmers in the US could have needed some more rain this season. They say that food prices will rise because of the drought.
They already have, especially corn.
a nice rainy day click – and the guitar picking was a treat. thanks for sharing
I’m glad that a lot of bloggers seem to have enjoyed my guitar playing. Perhaps I’ll record some more 🙂
didn’t know that was your playing. good stuff – and yes, do record some more!
Here’s some more of my music, an eclectic mix:
Paradis – recording with a friend
Blue Moon on Melodica
Random street art Acores
Trail biking in Oslo
Cool shot! I usually run for cover when it rains but you’ve inspired me to see if it’ll make for good shots 🙂
Rain can be great for photos. Remember to bring protection!
Honestly, I always fail when rain shot, hiks. But I wil try, try and try. 😛 Perhaps direct focus towards the ground, Nice shot @Cardinal
Here’s the detail, it might be helpful:
shutter speed: 1/10
f/4,0
iso 200
Thanks so much @Cardinal, i will practice.
On rainy day we thank god for the water he give. And of course doing some house work. 😀
Here in Java, Indonesia, rain didn’t come for a long time. I envy those who have rain much in their region.
Oh yeah, my share is about Indonesian cloth Batik. Hope you have a time to read it.
In my opinion thanking god is just as useful as thanking the bookshelf, but if thanking god seems right for you I have no problem with it 🙂
Very amazing guitar playing. I like the shot too. I’m getting a weather resistant camera. UPS should be here in a coupe of hours. They missed me yesterday but will not today. 😀
Your blog is awesome!
And congrats with the water resistant camera. I rely on umbrellas and natural cover.

Indeed, rainy days are a great time for a little solitude. They just seem to go together. Great post and thanks for the follow.
This was posted for the “everyday” theme, but I guess it could fit the “solitude” theme as well.

Here’s some more rain: https://cardinalguzman.wordpress.com/2012/09/25/another-rainy-day/
Rain is a part of life, especially here in Seattle! Beautiful colors, very nice photo.
Thanks Naomi. Rain is an integrated part of Norwegian life as well. One of our cities (Bergen) have an average of 300 rainy days per year.
I’ve been there, and felt right at home. It poured the whole time!
Is that you picking with that country cool fastness?
Yes, that’s me playing guitar. I used to play a lot (and every day), but now I just play every once in a while.
