Another Rainy Day

Rain, rain, rain.

“It will rain all this night and we will sleep transfixed by the dark water as our blood runs through our fragile life.”
― Charles Bukowski

A poster, at the end of it's life.

A poster, at the end of it’s life.

I prefer the B/W version.

I prefer the B/W version.

These are shot with my old Canon EOS 300D camera. Still can’t get enough?

Here’s more rain:

  1. Rain, it’s remain me of this quote “A bank is a place where they lend you an umbrella in fair weather and ask for it back when it begins to rain” (Robert Frost) ;-)

The second one really exciting… :-)

    • Not only the umbrella: they want your raincoat too!

  2. Love your poster photograph – seems very 60s somehow. Very graphic. Great image, Cardinal.

    • I like the poster too and I think it’s a great way for a poster to end it’s life: at least now it can continue it’s existence posthumously online.

  4. Great quote – goes well with images.

    • Mr. Bukowski – suitable also for those rainy days.

  5. NIce work – I think I prefer the color version. Always like to read a snip of Bukowski.

    Thanks for sharing.

    • The colored version is a bit more dirty and grey in real life, but I applied some of my ‘magic touch’.

  6. Shame for the poster :( … I love summer rain, I do love rain until it gets too irritating, I don’t like rain on holidays and especially in France, they tend to be rude enough when the weather is dry, but in the rain they don’t give it a second thought about throwing you out in the street when their siesta time begins, no matter if you have finished your lunch or not, they serve you a pay check and send you out…. Sorry for sharing these memories from last summer :) I am sure Norwegians are more hospitable…?

    • I didn’t get to see the full poster, but I think it looks good like that.
Summer rain can be very nice, but unfortunately we’ve had too much of it this summer. Should have been a bit less here and a bit more in the States. We didn’t have any bad experiences like you mention when we were in France, but I guess it differs from place to place.
