Art: Daniela Rossell – The Rich and Famous
Here’s an old case, from some years back. It was originally published in the Norwegian newspaper Morgenbladet, in August 2004.
‘Nicolaj Udstillingsbygning’ shows in their summer exhibition “Rich and Famous” by the Mexican photographer Daniela Rossell. In color photographs that catch you off guard Daniela Rossell’s turns her ethnographic look at the Mexican upper-class’ tastes and lifestyles. The social photography turns its head and directs its focus towards the wealthy upper-class’ conspicuous luxury and economic power.

Dette er en gammel sak, fra noen år tilbake. Saken ble opprinnelig publisert i Morgenbladet i august 2004.
Nicolaj Udstillingsbygning viser i sommermånedene utstillingen ”Rike og Berømte” av den mexicanske fotografen Daniela Rossell. I overrumplende fargefotografier vender Daniela Rossell sitt etnografiske blikk mot den mexicanske overklasses smak og livsstil. Det sosiale fotografi vender hodet og retter sin fokus mot den velstående overklasses i øyenfallende luksus og økonomiske makt.
